Both ships were part of the 2008 Fleet Week Naval Parade of Ships. The USS The Sullivans embarked Sea Cadets from NY and NJ; while the USS Letye Gulf embarked Sea Cadets from MD. Joseph P Cirone > BROOKLYN, NY - (May 21, 2008) - U.S. Coast Guard 25-foot Secure All-around Flotation Equipped (SAFE) boat 255065 provides security for U.S. Navy guided missile destroyer USS Nitze (DDG-94), homeported in Norfolk, VA, as it approaches Gravesend Bay, just south of New York Harbor, during the 2008 Fleet Week celebration and Parade of Ships.
